Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008
Armenia competed in the first semi-final on 20 May 2008 in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008. The country chose their singer by an internal selection. They selected Sirusho to be their representative for this year's Eurovision.〔(Eurovision2008.org )〕
==National Selection==
The Armenian national final concert that was scheduled for March 8, 2008 was canceled due to a State of Emergency in Armenia.〔(Eurovision2008.org )〕 The Armenian TV channel decided to film a national final show instead.〔 Sirusho sang four songs. The winning song was chosen by televoting and SMS voting.
Armenian composers were invited to write songs for Sirusho. Four of them were selected by a special jury and Qélé, Qélé, which will represent the country in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, was chosen during a National Final.
